We got some snowfall a while back, snow just makes this dark time of year more bright. Not to mention makes me feel like Christmas.

Took out some Christmas decorations already, can't wait for Christmas time.

Its Coral... Whatever

Fall time is great as you can start wearing warm socks, slippers, sweaters, scarfs and the list goes on.. I love bundling up and wearing scarves. I never really mind cold weather, it just means that you have to wear more and dress smartly. One of the most important parts is to keep your feet warm. That's why I love woolen socks and my UGGs. I got these lovely slippers a while back and already broke the sole, too bad they were really warm to wear. I seem to wear out more slippers than I can keep up with. Maybe I drag my feet or something, dunno what the reason but it makes for a good Christmas gift idea for me. I had a sudden urge to get the coral Whatever shirt because it was just so soft but not too thick. Now I'm always afraid to wear it as I have a tendency to mess up all my shirts. Haha.. Thats why I shouldn't wear white. Yet I have noticed that I have a preference for lighter colors and more feminine style. I guess thats related to growing up and finding my own style. I still don't think I have a clear style, but I don't think that matters. I wear what I like and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. For me the main thing is feeling comfortable and feeling good and confident.

I always admire pictures taken of stars but found its quite hard to do. There are so many things to take into consideration and still after all the preparation you end up with not so good results. One night I tried to take pictures of stars and this is what I end up with. I'll have to try it again..

I Got Them Bubbles!

One of the most scary parts about having an office job was clothing. What is considered appropriate attire? How casual the company culture is? These questions ran through my head, especially since at least based on the pictures of the companies website they had a very formal attire. Well luckily it wasn't the case. Yes the company has formal attire but only during certain days, other while its smart casual. Basically anything goes kind of mentality, preferably though clean and skip the hoodies. I decided that since before I knew about the appropriate attire at my work place I tried to google it and got well odd results to actually post a few outfits from work. They might be kinda simple and maybe boring but at least if someone is pondering the same questions I was they could get some reference from my blog.

So my first work outfit ran on the lines of a simple pair of black jeans with a lovely blue top. Sure the top is kinda too much in a way, but I didn't stand out too much and it has a good looking fabric. Note the lovely confused tired expression on my face, I wasn't yet quite used to going to work everyday for 8 hours a day :)

One of the biggest problems I still have is shoes! I'm picky when it comes to shoes and I tend to lean towards sneakers. Not a good combo for the working world. Luckily as I said my company is smart casual and I can pull off converse like most people in the office. Yet on those special days I have to take it up a notch and found this pair of shoes to be pretty good. Black is always a good color and flats are comfortable if you aren't used to high heels. PLUS these have stars on them so I'm absolutely willing to wear them. haha, but seriously I need to go shoe shopping soon!

To end this rambling post about my little difficulties, I wanna say that this bubble tea was terribly sweet but nice to have my favorite thing from asia here in Finland. Also I heard there is a even better place somewhere in this big city, gotta check that one out next. Oh yeah this was regular bubble tea with mango flavor.

Pretty Little Olympic Distraction

Feeling really tired during these past few days so I'm just going to post this outfit thing I took way back in June. It's like they say, better late than never. As you can see from the outfit I really love black.. Its just a comfortable color, easy to combine with stuff and easy to make a fairly girly outfit seem less scary. I'm not that much of a girly girl, but there are things in my closet that scare me. I don't know what made me buy them but there they are, I should learn to use them. Haha. 

My mom was so sweet today, she got me some cleaning utilities for my new apartment. I know she's not excited about me moving out but still, she wants to make sure I've got everything. I can't wait for September, though we have to move already this month but we are gonna change our flat in September. I hope it won't be too much of a hassle. Alrighty, time to stand olympic basketball by watching Pretty Little Liars. Have a good night!

1. I get really attached to things, like I tend not to throw things away until the last minute and I feel sad about moving out of my childhood home.

2. I really love raw carrots, but dislike anyway of cooking them.

3. I've always had a somewhat disliking towards luxury brands as I found them pretentious, yet I like Chanel because of the creator and Hermes for their business idea.

4. I love taking pictures and have tons of ideas, but when I get in front of a camera I hate it.

5. I greatly dislike when people stare at me (people love to stare at me in China lol)

6. I'm a little bit of a loner by my personality, I'd like to be more social in a way but then again there are problems that arise with over sociality. 

7. I tend to have tons of ideas and things I wanna do but little time and information on how to achieve such things.

Oh Gravity!

I woke up today to the rain. It wasn't the good kind of waking up as I felt so cold, the humid air just chills me all the way to the bone. I didn't want to get up, so I lingered in bed for quite a long time trying to warm up my body. Even though the beginning was so ill mannered it still turned out to be a nice Friday. Indeed a calm night, seeing relatives and city rabbits. Now I just have the problem of can't sleep since I woke up so late.

Heräsin tänään sateeseen. Ei ollut mitenkään hyvä herätys, kosteuden aiheuttama kylmyys ylsi oikein luihin. Jäin sitten makoilemaan sänkyyn pitkäksi aikaa jonka takia nyt on hirveän vaikea nukahtaa. Muilta osin perjantai oli ihan kiva, näki sukulaisia ja city pupuja. Nyt sit pitäs yrittää nukkua.

Yoda Hidden in a Bag of Coco

Today was a combination of cruising around Helsinki, walking in the heavy rain, looking at mens clothing and dreaming of a future home somewhere in H-town. I really like the location of the Chinese embassy in Finland, Kulosaari is a really nice neighborhood. I wasn't too happy about the rain but I just need to get a bigger umbrella than the one I have, it just doesn't fit two. While I and Panda wondered around Ikea I came to realize that Panda like the coloring of their fur, black and white, find black and white furniture to be his dream decoration style. Sure I have been forced to live with white furniture and therefore hate it, but I must say a combination of white and black furniture with a little splash of color here and there might actually be very suitable. This just makes me more excited about heading off to live in Helsinki soon. 

Tänään oli sellainen ajellaan Helsingissä, kastutaan kävellessämme, shoppaillaan miesten puolella ja unelmoidaan tulevasta kämpästä Helsingissä. Kulosaari on muuten mukavaa aluetta. Kun pandan kanssa vaellettiin Ikeassa huomasin että kuten pandan turkin väri, tämäkin panda viihtyy mustassa ja valkoisessa. Eli tuleva kalusto asunnossamme tulisi olla musta valkoinen, tosin vaadin sinne muutakin väriä. Alan olla jo innoissani tästä että pääsee pois pikku lammesta isompaan lampeen.

Mint

I started thinking about what to get once summer arrives, which means June 1st. Found a nice mint asymmetric skirt that just screams my name. There is a great temptation to shop a lot as its been 5 months since I've shopped for myself, but I gotta still fight the temptation. Time to shop with a better mentality than before, I hope.

Aloin tänään miettiä et mitä ostella kun kesä on täällä, eli kesäkuu! Löysin netistä kivan mintun värisen hameen joka ihan kirkuu mun nimeä. Vaikka siitä on noin 5 tai 6 kuukautta kun viimeksi shoppailen itselleni niin pitää silti hillitä itseään ja tehdä järkeviä ostos päätöksiä. Toivottavasti se onnistuu.

Smile, Sun Smile

There are days that are gloomy in nature but happy mentally and vise versa. Yet sunny days bring such a light lovely feeling that gloominess is impossible. As I wait desperately for warmer and drier weather, I keep in mind those oh so lovely sunny days. Plus summer is almost here and it means that I can shop soon. Unbelievably I have made it, my goal of not shopping until summer has been successful. Just shows strength of mind overcomes, anything is possible!

Jotkut päivät ovat luonteeltaa synkkiä mutta iloisia mielialaltaan. Tosin aurinkoisina päivinä on hyvin vaikea olla surullinen, aurinko tuo ihanan keveyden tunteen. Kun tässä odottelen epäitoivoisesti lämpöisempiä ja kuivempia säitä, pidän mielessäni ne ihanat aurinkoiset päivät. Niin ja kesä on lähellä ja pääsen taas shoppailemaan. Yllättävää kyllä olen pysynyt uuden vuoden lupauksessani enkä ole shoppaillut mitään kevään aikana. Tämä vain todistaa että mielen järkkymättömyydellä voidaan saada aikaan mitä tahansa. 

I'm Gonna Be The Next Michael Jordan, Yea In My Dreams!

Panda is crazy for basketball and apparently I need to learn to play as well. Oh well not complaining, good weather and some exercise. Sounds good in a way. Though panda insisted that I should shoot like a man, which means with one hand. May I say that starts to hurt after 10 tries, but it should do me some good. I'm just so fragile in a way. Starting to crave some sima, vappu is around the corner!!! I want lots of balloons! 

Pandalla on tälläinen mukava pieni mieltymys koripalloa kohtaan. Ei siinä mitään mutta kuulemma munkin pitää opetella pelaamaan ja vielä kuten mies. Eli ei saa heitellä kahdella kädellä. Täytyy todeta että kun heittelee palloa yhdellä kädellä enimmäkseen ranteen vääntövoimalla, parin kerran jälkeen tuntuu siltä kuin ranne olisi murtunut. No se tekee hyvää, vaikka olenkin näin heiveröinen. Nyt on kyllä suuri halu juoda simaa, ihanaa vappu on täällä! Tahdon paljon palloja!

This Is The One About Nothing

I don't really have a rhythm or rime to this post. Just have some random pictures from past days. Like my little snack and this cool picture of my phone but reflecting on something else. Lately since I have 2 weeks off school, first my classes were cancelled and now its my winter holiday, I've been eating a lot of Ben & Jerry's ice cream with movies. My favorite is Cherry Garcia but I found a new goodie named Coconutterly fair. Yummy! Just finished watching a episode of the Walking Dead, I really love this show. Hey I'm one for horror stuff.

Ei mulla tässä oikein mitään jännää oo, ihan vaan jotain kuvia viime päiviltä. Kuten mun välipalani ja yks kiva kuva jonka otin puhelimestani mutta tarkensinkin johonkin muuhun. Tässä mun noin kahen viikon lomalla oon nauttinut paljon Ben & Jerry's jäätelöä med leffat. Lempparini Cherry Garcian lisäksi löysin uuden kivan maun eli Coconutterly fair, LOVE IT. Tässä juuri katoin yhden jakson The Walking Deadia, suosittelen kaikille lämpimästi. Tietty jos ei tykkää zombeista ni ei ehkä kannatta kattoa. 

Random Life Of Late

My life of late hasn't really been that exciting, just going to school and writing my thesis. Every now and then I try out cooking something new, like in the picture this chinese soup with ginger and tomatoes. I really loved the weather this tuesday, sunlight makes my spirits so much better. I never realized how in tune people can be to the fact of sun or more like the absence of sun. Yet when you think about the importance of that big star of ours it would make sense for use to be concerned about it. 

I feel like I'm starting to ramble around, which I always am. The odd part of me is, before you know me you will think I'm quiet but when you get to know me you wish I'd shut up. Though I'm more comfortable with the little fact of silence. In a conversation with a person you know very well, there is not always a need for talk.

Me and hats, or more like being in a store and having to try out a hat lol.. At least it was really warm. In the weather we are having lately you really need a warm hat. Don't wanna lose all that knowledge filled up in that brain of yours. 

I've been feeling under the weather this past week, thanks to my parents bringing me a cold as a souvenir from their trip. SO I have been drinking large amounts of warm liquids and enjoying candle light. No wait there was a black out here in my little village and hence I busted out the candles. Though I don't really need much reason for candles. Its a family habit :)

Times Are A Changing

I'm a kind of person that loves to play around with her iPhone, especially with picture applications. I'm quite interested in the effects side, like making a picture look old etc. Anyway here are some pictures I have edited, while I edited them I got so many ideas about posting pictures as I have lots of pictures from trips I've taken in the past so as soon as my photoshop co-operates with me I'll get some pictures to post here. So for now, enjoy my face and the odd hair colors.

Trying a new thing here, so yeah follow my blog with Bloglovin'. :) Also as my photoshop hasn't been working for a few days, so I decided to add some pictures from the web that I like for a reason or another. Kinda like my inspiration of sorts.

Fishy Fishy

I've always dreamed about having a fisheye lens for my camera, but instead my mom got me a bigger lens than the original one I had. Ok so my mom was actually smart about this. Anyway the other day I stumbled upon this app in the app store for a fish eye effect and tadaa here are the results. The quality kinda sucks or then its just the lack of light lol. Lets see if its better in sunlight. 

To find this app, it's Klinger - Fisheye Lens Lite. Yes I'm cheap and its the free version :)
