White and Red

I guess I can wrap up this year with finally posting these outfit pictures from earlier in December that I just never had time to post. Thats how you know Christmas time is super busy. The small breaks of time I have I used to to everything else not blog. Hopefully this New Year starting soon I'll have some more time to post and enjoy healthy living. You can note that we suddenly got a lot more snow than what these pictures reveal, but as I'm still not quite well I'm not taking the risk and wondering out into the wonderful winter wonderland we have here. Gosh I love that red scarf and white knit combo. Gotta wear it again soon. Now gonna head down to dinner and try to enjoy the evening. :)

Christmas time, where did you go?

Oh my gosh, its almost 2015! I know most bloggers are already focusing on other things and looking forward to the New Year, but I'm not. Mostly because I spent the entire Christmas time in a fever and still I'm not fully recovered. Yet I want to post about it as Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. The first two pictures are of Christmas Eve, I tried to take a outfit pic but I was so tired and red nosed that I chose just to display my shirt that I paired with black jeans and a santa claus hat. Now that there are three little kids in our Christmas celebrations, the amount of gifts has increased greatly but it makes Christmas Eve so magical. Watching the pure joy of children is just priceless. Before Christmas there was this TV show about Christmas lights in the US and families competing for a price. Well me and my mom might have gotten carried away with our lights this year, but those candy cane lights are just too cute! Earlier this fall I made some cakes with fondant icing and since we still had some left we used it to decorate our gingerbread house. The snowflake shapes are so cute. I tried out making a fondant snowman to stand in front of the house but he seems to be a little crooked. Maybe just like me.

Okay so I found a picture of myself on Christmas Eve, with a red nose and dark under eyes. haha Hope you guys enjoy :)

Red Snow Globetrotter

Found this lovely nail polish that looks like snow and had to try it out. Also saw that there is such a color as Coca-Cola red, that would be so awesome for me. Too bad they were out of it. Don't you just hate it when the nail polish you wanted to use is so stuck that you can't open it. Then you spend the next hour to try to open it, just to find after a quick google search a two minute solution. The solution being so simple as just using a cup of hot water to submerse the nail polish bottle lid in the water and after two minutes it will open. Have to remember this for the next time but it just seems this red OPI color has gotten a tad too thick and doesn't spread evenly. Anyway this is only the first step of the nails I had planned. I'll be back with the finishing touches in a few days, when I have some more inspiration for writing a post. I hope.

Itsenäisyyspäivä

Today has been a real holiday, well all my days are kinda like a holiday. Independence day is usually spent relaxing, eating and watching the presidential party broadcast (which is a Finnish equivalent to the Oscars). Earlier today it was snowing quite a lot so we decided to take a little stroll in the winter wonderland. I thought it would be a great time to break out my new lovely red scarf, which has many bloggers seem to have as well just in different colors. I had a though time choosing a color for myself but I figured red would be a nice change for me. I didn't realize that it would for some reason look odd in these pictures with that grainy green spots. The more I look at that pic the more mad I get. I tried to fix it and thought I succeeded but seems its still grainy. Oh well you can't win everyday. Haha. It seems the graininess theme is on all my pictures where ever there is red. Well hope you guys still enjoy these pics.

Everyday...

Yaay, it's my favorite time of the year! Christmas is almost around the corner. Though I started decorating already in November but since my time is limited during the day I just had to take the advantage early on. Just as with getting Christmas gifts. Anyway just popping in to quickly post some everyday pics. Had some frozen macarons, they were nice but I should try to make some on my own.

New Sparkle

Where on earth does the time go? Days seem so short, well the dark winter days always seem short coz there is very little day light but still. I feel my brain is affected by this and also the huge lack of sleep I'm suffering from. Oh well I'm still young and this is only a short phase, soon I'll miss these hazy days and the simplicity of life. Anyway can't wait for Christmas, so I can wear my new sparkly top or silver cardigan. I have to say I love that BikBok is now in Lahti. Just LOVE it. Now if we had Zara and maybe Mango, I wouldn't want to go to Helsinki at all.. Well maybe for some Christmas coffee from Starbucks..

Snapshots of everyday Life

Yummy French Vanilla Cappuccino from Tim Hortons, how I miss having this directly from Tim Hortons not just powder..
Relaxing and watching Murdoch Mysteries, you can almost tell where my pants end and blanket starts.
Its getting dark, so I got out my candles
Pink sandy nails for a special day, Lumene Roosa nauha nailpolis
The last rose I found in the garden still clinging to life
We got some snowfall a while back, snow just makes this dark time of year more bright. Not to mention makes me feel like Christmas.
Took out some Christmas decorations already, can't wait for Christmas time.

Its Coral... Whatever

Fall time is great as you can start wearing warm socks, slippers, sweaters, scarfs and the list goes on.. I love bundling up and wearing scarves. I never really mind cold weather, it just means that you have to wear more and dress smartly. One of the most important parts is to keep your feet warm. That's why I love woolen socks and my UGGs. I got these lovely slippers a while back and already broke the sole, too bad they were really warm to wear. I seem to wear out more slippers than I can keep up with. Maybe I drag my feet or something, dunno what the reason but it makes for a good Christmas gift idea for me. I had a sudden urge to get the coral Whatever shirt because it was just so soft but not too thick. Now I'm always afraid to wear it as I have a tendency to mess up all my shirts. Haha.. Thats why I shouldn't wear white. Yet I have noticed that I have a preference for lighter colors and more feminine style. I guess thats related to growing up and finding my own style. I still don't think I have a clear style, but I don't think that matters. I wear what I like and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. For me the main thing is feeling comfortable and feeling good and confident.

I always admire pictures taken of stars but found its quite hard to do. There are so many things to take into consideration and still after all the preparation you end up with not so good results. One night I tried to take pictures of stars and this is what I end up with. I'll have to try it again..

White Sparkle for a Grey Day

I got this lovely sweater last spring and finally had the chance to wear it. I always admired my mother's similar sparkly sweaters and finally got one myself. I especially like the back with the little bows, even though it felt a bit chilly and exposed. Now that I look at these pictures I should have demanded my photographer to utilize angles better. I look so wide in so many of the pictures and the white shirt of course just makes it worse. Oh dear, well you can't always win. It was also nice to wear my brown boots after such a long time. Too bad I don't have a good whole outfit pic but these will just have to do. It felt good to get out of the house for a while and wear normal clothes. At home I just choose to wear the most comfortable things rather than jeans and nice shirts or sweaters. Its rare now for me to have a nice outfit pic so I guess every chance I get I'll utilize it. Anyway time to go plan some baking ideas and a party outfit.

Foxy Fall

I guess I'm rare in the sense that I don't really like Spring but rather love Fall. Well truth be told any season is great as long as it doesn't rain. I can't stand rain, there is nothing worse than getting your feet wet on a cold rainy day. I don't mind cold weather as long as it doesn't rain. I love snow and freezing temperatures coz then the snow doesn't soak your socks. Fall to me is beautiful because of all the beautiful colors, especially warm colors of red, orange and yellow... And of course Halloween.. though this year I won't be doing my traditional big Halloween decorations due to lack of time but I'm still gonna enjoy some pumpkin lanterns. I'm again finding myself rambling on about everything just like the fox I saw during the summer in our yard. Foxes really do make the weirdest and sad sounds I've ever heard, though it sounded nothing like the famous what does the fox say song.
I really must be a boring person, I find myself at a loss for words more often. Especially when I come here to share my pictures I find I have nothing to say. In my current state it doesn't surprise me as I find my brain frozen over for most of the day and only a few days a week I can actually accomplish something. I'd like to get my brain activity back to normal, but I don't think that will happen any day soon. Anyway in the meanwhile I can go back to planning an upcoming party :)
