On the train

Currently I'm on my way to Helsinki on a train and then later on hop on a boat to Stockholm.

Tällä hetkellä matkalla Helsinkiin junalla ja sitten myöhemmin laivalla Tukholmaan.

Oh Gravity!

I woke up today to the rain. It wasn't the good kind of waking up as I felt so cold, the humid air just chills me all the way to the bone. I didn't want to get up, so I lingered in bed for quite a long time trying to warm up my body. Even though the beginning was so ill mannered it still turned out to be a nice Friday. Indeed a calm night, seeing relatives and city rabbits. Now I just have the problem of can't sleep since I woke up so late.

Heräsin tänään sateeseen. Ei ollut mitenkään hyvä herätys, kosteuden aiheuttama kylmyys ylsi oikein luihin. Jäin sitten makoilemaan sänkyyn pitkäksi aikaa jonka takia nyt on hirveän vaikea nukahtaa. Muilta osin perjantai oli ihan kiva, näki sukulaisia ja city pupuja. Nyt sit pitäs yrittää nukkua.

I'm so Hungry

As I've had more time lately, I started to consume some books. I started off with the Hunger Games as I just went to see the movie and now I'm just plainly hooked on the book. I read the two first books within 3 days or so and now I'm impatiently waiting to get the third one to finish. 

Kun mulla on nyt ollut vähän enemmän aikaa ni rupesin lukemaan taas kirjoja. Valitsin kirjaksi tän kuuluisan Nälkäpelin kun juuri näin sen leffassa. Nyt olen sitten kunnolla koukussa ja tuskin maltan odottaa että saisin kolmannen osan luettavaksi.

Mom, I love you

I love baking, or just eating baked stuff. I'm like a child so eager to eat the raw dough. Luckily today I was up too early so functions like eating the dough were suspended. I made this brownie recipe that has a huge amount of sugar, but its beyond delicious to eat.

Rakastan leipomista, tai sitten leivosten syömistä. Olen ihan kuin lapsi aivan liian innokas syömään raakaa taikinaa. Onneksi tänään olin niin koomassa aamulla et ekstra toiminnot kuten taikinan syöminen jäi pois. Tein tälläsiä brownie leivoksia joihin meni ihan liikaa sokeria, mutta ne oli kyllä niin hyviä.

Owl and a Scarf

I had an interesting day yesterday, besides the dreaming of a new life I had time to observe people. Like yesterday there was something happening in the building with Zara and how people crowded around it and some took pictures. How people spend an odd time looking at your application yet have nothing to ask even though something caught their eye. How a comment about patience has an effect on a persons mentality. How a teacher neglects to mention a deadline and panicked you make your mom print even though she can't use your mac. I guess at the end of the day we all so called adults are just little children with our odd behavior, never quite confident enough. I'm just happy I'm done with school, especially the dreadful thing of a thesis. Can't wait for summer.

Oli kyllä eilen mielenkiintoinen päivä kaiken kaikkiaan. Ihmiset on niin jänniä olentoja. Jotkut ottaa kuvia talosta jossa oli kai palohälytys, toiset tuijottaa toisen hakemusta kauan ja ilmeisesti olisi ollut jotain kysyttävää muttei sitten kysynyt, toiset reagoivat oudosti kommentteihin ja toisten opettajat aiheuttavat paniikkia kun asiat pitäs saada tehtyä nyt ja heti. Onneks on äiti, joka uskaltaa koskea mun koneeseen vaikka se on niin ihmeellinen omena. Kai me kaikki niin sanotut aikuiset ollaan vaan pieniä lapsia outoneen juttuinemme. Mä oon vaan niin iloinen että koulu on melkein ohi, varsinkin opinnäytetyön puolesta.

Yoda Hidden in a Bag of Coco

Today was a combination of cruising around Helsinki, walking in the heavy rain, looking at mens clothing and dreaming of a future home somewhere in H-town. I really like the location of the Chinese embassy in Finland, Kulosaari is a really nice neighborhood. I wasn't too happy about the rain but I just need to get a bigger umbrella than the one I have, it just doesn't fit two. While I and Panda wondered around Ikea I came to realize that Panda like the coloring of their fur, black and white, find black and white furniture to be his dream decoration style. Sure I have been forced to live with white furniture and therefore hate it, but I must say a combination of white and black furniture with a little splash of color here and there might actually be very suitable. This just makes me more excited about heading off to live in Helsinki soon. 

Tänään oli sellainen ajellaan Helsingissä, kastutaan kävellessämme, shoppaillaan miesten puolella ja unelmoidaan tulevasta kämpästä Helsingissä. Kulosaari on muuten mukavaa aluetta. Kun pandan kanssa vaellettiin Ikeassa huomasin että kuten pandan turkin väri, tämäkin panda viihtyy mustassa ja valkoisessa. Eli tuleva kalusto asunnossamme tulisi olla musta valkoinen, tosin vaadin sinne muutakin väriä. Alan olla jo innoissani tästä että pääsee pois pikku lammesta isompaan lampeen.

Today I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything

Water is My Friend

Some time ago I found a video about water marbling and decided to try it out. Well the results was it took a while to find appropriate colors that would work in the water and making the design for the nail was really hard. In the end I had kinda weird colors and no nail looked the same with the other. The oddest part was that the first nail I did turned out the best, which is the pic on the right. 

Jonkin aikaa sitten löysin videon jossa tehtiin kynsiä veden avulla. Halusin kokeilla ja tässä tulos. Aluksi oli vaikeaa löytää sopivia värejä kun jotkut eivät levinneet kunnolla ja jotkut vaan ei toiminu. Loppu tulos oli että mulla oli oudot värit kynsissä ja yksikään kynsi ei näytä samanlaiselta kuin toinen. Oudointa on että ensimmäinen kynsi jonka taiteilin onnistui parhaiten kuten oikeian puoleisesta kuvasta näkyy.

Pastel Pink

I had this sudden inspiration one day as I came home from school to try out this outfit and I kinda like it. Just wish it was warmer now so I could wear it without tights. 

Yhden päivän koulun jälkeinen inspiraatio. Olisipa lämpimämpi niin tarkenisin ulos ilman sukkiksia. 

Mint

I started thinking about what to get once summer arrives, which means June 1st. Found a nice mint asymmetric skirt that just screams my name. There is a great temptation to shop a lot as its been 5 months since I've shopped for myself, but I gotta still fight the temptation. Time to shop with a better mentality than before, I hope.

Aloin tänään miettiä et mitä ostella kun kesä on täällä, eli kesäkuu! Löysin netistä kivan mintun värisen hameen joka ihan kirkuu mun nimeä. Vaikka siitä on noin 5 tai 6 kuukautta kun viimeksi shoppailen itselleni niin pitää silti hillitä itseään ja tehdä järkeviä ostos päätöksiä. Toivottavasti se onnistuu.

May Day Fever!

Some pictures from Vappu the first of May. Didn't do much as I caught a cold while getting my panda balloon. My own fault though, I wore too little. The sun shine distracted me :)
