Downtown Guelph

So living in Guelph, it would have been a shame to have never visited the downtown area. It wasn't quite what I expected, but still nice in its own way.

Random Moments in Canada

So more pictures from Canada, didn't really have a theme for this one. Just some pictures I've taken. Like my prepaid phone which I got after the battle to find a provider that can text Finland.. Just stuff like that.

My Room

So here we have my little room, that I've been living in. It's actually quite nice and my house mates are really nice and they don't make too much noise. Oh yeah finally got some hangers to hang my clothes, but then broke one of them. Haha that's what you get when you pay 1 $ for 3 hangers. Yep so my room:

Life in Canada

Labour Day

My third day in Guelph was Labour Day, so the previous day I had to get something to eat since on Labour day everything is closed. Luckily I ended up checking the commerce lunch, commerce being the business faculty of sorts and I guess I'll be taking courses from them. After that not so interesting event we made our way to see my first american football game, with a Canadian twist or something. Don't know much about american nor canadian football, but here's some pics:

Pep Rally

So my second day in Guelph started off with a campus tour with people from my residence. It was good to see a little bit of the campus and also figure out some places where I could get something to eat, since I had no clue. After this I decided to check out the nearest mall, Stone Road Mall. I took a buss to it and turns out it wasn't far at all and I actually walked back coz I wanted to know how long it would take and also coz I had no clue where to catch the bus back.

Journey to Canada

So this post is about my first days in Canada. The very first day when I arrived in Toronto, I made my way to Hilton Garden Inn and went to sleep right away. Then in the morning had my breakfast and head off to find a bus to Guelph. Here's my hotel room:

Exchange

Like I mentioned before I'm going on an exchange period next fall to Canada. The idea for the exchange came a long time ago from my sister taking that big step and flying over the Atlantic to USA for her exchange year. During Lukio(High School) for some reason I didn't find the courage to do the same and ever since I have regretted it. Well then I started studying International Business and found that I could do a half year exchange or more like I have to. After a few ups and downs I finally settled on the idea of going to Canada and luckily I got it. So where exactly am I going?

The place I'm going to is Guelph and I will be studying at the University of Guelph.

I guess this is the University
