Its Coral... Whatever

Fall time is great as you can start wearing warm socks, slippers, sweaters, scarfs and the list goes on.. I love bundling up and wearing scarves. I never really mind cold weather, it just means that you have to wear more and dress smartly. One of the most important parts is to keep your feet warm. That's why I love woolen socks and my UGGs. I got these lovely slippers a while back and already broke the sole, too bad they were really warm to wear. I seem to wear out more slippers than I can keep up with. Maybe I drag my feet or something, dunno what the reason but it makes for a good Christmas gift idea for me. I had a sudden urge to get the coral Whatever shirt because it was just so soft but not too thick. Now I'm always afraid to wear it as I have a tendency to mess up all my shirts. Haha.. Thats why I shouldn't wear white. Yet I have noticed that I have a preference for lighter colors and more feminine style. I guess thats related to growing up and finding my own style. I still don't think I have a clear style, but I don't think that matters. I wear what I like and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. For me the main thing is feeling comfortable and feeling good and confident.

I always admire pictures taken of stars but found its quite hard to do. There are so many things to take into consideration and still after all the preparation you end up with not so good results. One night I tried to take pictures of stars and this is what I end up with. I'll have to try it again..

The night when the sun shines

Can't believe its already Juhannus, time keeps flying by.. It really seems that the older one gets the quicker time seems to move.. While as a child the school year always seemed so long and summer short. I'm so excited to see Panda after such a long time, two more nights to sleep alone and he will be back. Yaay. Dunno if I can sleep at all, I'm too excited. I'm posting random shots from May when the cherry and apple tree's were blooming and we had some heat waves in Finland. I got this really nice long striped dress from Taiwan but for some reason in every pic it makes me look huge.. haha I'm not photogenic anyway but this dress doesn't help.. But its super comfortable to wear during hot hot days. I'm also a tad lazy so I added another outfit pic so you get two for the price of one :)

Its also a very important holiday here, Juhannus.. Lots of people vacate to summer cabins to enjoy food, sauna and drinking.. For my family it really never was that big of a deal, not like Christmas. Usually we just go to our summer cabin, warm up the sauna and swim, read books and fill up crossword puzzles, eat a lot especially grilled food. Most times we do the huge bonfire thing, but this year we skipped it as it was a bit rainy.. I can't explain how much this year I enjoyed being near the lake and the process of warming up the sauna. The smell of the birch wood burning, the fresh smell after a little rain, neighbor children playing in the lake and me enjoying a long awaited book. It was just such an idyllic moment, I felt so relaxed and happy. Even the mosquitoes didn't bother me.

Now I'm enjoying the quite calm of the bright night. My mother is listening to some folkish Finnish music that makes me feel nostalgic of past Juhannus nights. Though it hasn't been a super special day, its been very enjoyable and relaxing. I hope there will be more days like this once Panda is back from Taiwan. Pastel Pink

I had this sudden inspiration one day as I came home from school to try out this outfit and I kinda like it. Just wish it was warmer now so I could wear it without tights.

I See The World As A Polaroid Picture

Well here we go, my first outfit post. You won't believe how hard of a challenge it was to get myself to have a good pose in any of the pics and well next time I should either clean up my room or take pictures  somewhere else :D And the workout equipment is not mine! I can't find the words to describe anything else. Anyway its a first attempt. Lets see what the future will have inshore in the future.

So what did I wear? The dress is from Forever 21, the stockings as well. The cardigan is from Gina Tricot. Shoes are Shi by Journey. 

I have to say I really love those shoes, really warm but a bit hard to walk with. Practice makes perfect, right? Oh how I wish I Finland had Forever 21 store, but maybe its better for me if we don't have it. Anyway I'm sticking to my promise of no shopping, it does get worse when I see cool things on Fashiolista and all the blogs I read but I'm gonna stay strong.

Converse is Everywhere

It's funny that anywhere I go, I always take a picture of my shoes. Typically they are Converse, since other shoes of mine are not really good for photos, old and all. It's a tradition of mine.
