Thesis contemplation

Writing my master's thesis has become a source of contemplation and stress. I changed my first proposed topic for another, once I realized that the topic I had in the first place wasn't moving along. I think I reached a limit of how much of the particular concepts I could take, they have been all around me during the academic year and it was enough. Sure this new topic of mine has connections to some concepts from the previous topic, but everything can be connected to everything if you just try. haha... Yet what I keep bumping into is the fact, that no matter how hard I try to decide a topic I would like to study, someone somewhere tells me I should approach it from these concepts and theories, and not the ones I had chosen in the first place.
Its like anything I seem interested in, can be modified to be in relation to psychology, which don't get me wrong is all fine and dandy, but I wanted to do something more. Sure it is imperative to understand how we humans and further the organizations and groups we perform in work, but does everything have to be discussed from such a limited perspective of topics? In the first place I was interested in learning more about the service dominant-logic, but was directed towards customer engagement - so why people do anything in relation to a company.. Now I was returning to a passion of mine, the environment and CSR in the form of the circular economy and blue economy concepts, but was suggested to study motivational theories - so why companies would choose to use these environmental strategies.
Yet in my mind to study motivation in regards to the environment, seems to allow the thinking that there are no environmental issues to discuss. A debate that can be seen, usually in politics that unfortunately is as useful as stabbing oneself in the eye. The environment has changed, more so by the action of man than naturally, the resources we have are scarce because we use them illogically and there are too many people on this earth to be sustained by the current processes in action. So to me it just seems like a waste of time to study motivation, as it would imply that there isn't a pressing need to change the way the world works. Sure from another perspective it would be crucial to know how could we, on a rapid pace change how the decision makers in big companies view the environment.
And as any diligent blogger I have filled this post written in the beginning of summer with early spring pictures from Turku... maybe the next post might even be real time? Scary thought..

Sudden Panic

Suddenly today a strange feeling of panic came upon me. Perhaps it wasn't panic but a realization that time had passed by quickly. Today my credits jumped from 101 to 150 meaning that I need 15 credits for courses, 15 from my thesis and 30 for practical training. The process of writing my thesis is already underway and courses are being studied at the pace of 19 credits. So technically I will have everything done about academics this spring. Then all I need to do is a practical training. So graduation is close at hand. YAAY.

Ok too personal for a change. The cold weather that we have here in Finland reminded me of some pictures I have taken in similar weathers. I did try to wonder out these past days, just the cold that I have is not permitting me to move or be awake that much. I really love winter time, especially when you have lots of snow and its really cold. The cold temperature makes the snow look like diamonds. I have this quote about the snow but its in Finnish, so this is my attempt to translate it:
"Diamonds on the snow? Lapland surprise always, frost even builds a road for a prices to walk on."
Somehow snow covered trees are just so magical to me. Everything about snow is, well not that wet kind of snow or the time when snow melts. For me I hate rainy weather, I don't like having my socks wet. Yet I like light rain of summer, just not poring rain.

I was pondering today about making a outfit post, since I got some neat clothes from Canada that would be nice to post about. Yet since my shopping habits are on a freeze I don't know how long I could keep up with it or maybe I can demonstrate how to survive outside the modern consumer focused life. Dunno if anyone will be interested but I could give it a try. Anyway the point here is to show the things I find beautiful. I might not be to most fashionable person, but I wear what I like and I'm happy with that.

Well this seems the end of this post, I'm going to try to take some pictures today as I'm going to Helsinki. I always feel funny taking pictures in Helsinki, since I've been there so many times with my sister that it seems to familiar yet I have so few pictures from there. So time to feel like a tourist today.

The Last Exam

While I was still in Canada, for my last exam I went to the library to study. It was really hard to concentrate anywhere at that time. Yet with my friend I got the most studying done. She inspired me to focus :) oki time to go decorate a Christmas tree.

Everyday I'm Suffering

I don't really have any idea behind this post, just had some pictures I wanted to share and kinda trying to get my mind off school stuff in a way. Can't believe my time here in Canada will be soon over, but I'm really excited about going home. Its going to be hard to say goodbye to some of the nicest people I've met here but on the other side I can't wait to be back in the arms where I belong and to get to hug my little nieces. Oh that reminds me, need to do some serious Christmas shopping soon!
At least not all text in school books are boring, yet these are articles so no wonder they were interesting.

Blank Mind, No Clouds in Sight

Third post and still a blank mind. I started to ponder why could that be. Would it be that well-know writers block? Well I'm not a writer not in any sense. Could it be that I'm just out of ideas? No, there are quite a few boiling up in my head. After this pondering I came to the conclusion that I'm just too stressed about being behind readings so I can't concentrate on anything else. So time to hit the books.

Exchange

Like I mentioned before I'm going on an exchange period next fall to Canada. The idea for the exchange came a long time ago from my sister taking that big step and flying over the Atlantic to USA for her exchange year. During Lukio(High School) for some reason I didn't find the courage to do the same and ever since I have regretted it. Well then I started studying International Business and found that I could do a half year exchange or more like I have to. After a few ups and downs I finally settled on the idea of going to Canada and luckily I got it. So where exactly am I going?

The place I'm going to is Guelph and I will be studying at the University of Guelph.

I guess this is the University
