Red Snow Globetrotter

Found this lovely nail polish that looks like snow and had to try it out. Also saw that there is such a color as Coca-Cola red, that would be so awesome for me. Too bad they were out of it. Don't you just hate it when the nail polish you wanted to use is so stuck that you can't open it. Then you spend the next hour to try to open it, just to find after a quick google search a two minute solution. The solution being so simple as just using a cup of hot water to submerse the nail polish bottle lid in the water and after two minutes it will open. Have to remember this for the next time but it just seems this red OPI color has gotten a tad too thick and doesn't spread evenly. Anyway this is only the first step of the nails I had planned. I'll be back with the finishing touches in a few days, when I have some more inspiration for writing a post. I hope.

Pink Sand

Last weekend I went to a fair targeted to women. There were tons of cosmetic stuff and also wedding related booths which were nice to go through. I also pumped into an awesome offer to get 3 OPI nail polishes for only 20€. So of course I updated my nail polishes collection. The most pink one has hearts in them, can't wait to try it out. 

The more red polish ended up being more pink than I expected but I really love the stars in the mix! It also has this interesting sandpaper kind of texture, but it looks cool just like sand. Can't wait to try out some new nail ideas as soon as possible. I'm such a silly nail obsessed girl. 

Golden flakes on your finger tips!

Seems I'm having a golden or sparkle period, I have gotten several nail polishes that make your nails shine. Well I never pay much attention to my hair or makeup but my nails I always like to play around with. Here's two of my late designs if you can call them that. Two very different feelings yet execution was exactly the same. Solid color under and sparkles on top. What do you guys think?

My little sparkle collection, the golden flakes on the left is my ultimate favorite! The golden one on the right was a big disappointment but its nice as well. I've tried out all except for the silver ceramic polish, I should try that one out as well.

I really like the romantic feel this white and cold combo gives. Makes you think of weddings, does it not? Well seems I'll be posting more often now that I have a month off work, yaay summer vacation is here!

You Learn, You Grow, But You Never Give Up

I'm sitting in class, statistical analysis, I am paying attention but the teacher is going through the basic structure of the course so its not that important. For a few days now I've been trying to edit a new header for my blog, but there is always something else I need to finish before it, so lets see if I can get it up tomorrow. I really want a more spring athmosphere to the blog. I can't wait for summer! I already busted out my sun glasses, which are my sisters old ones back from the 80's or something. VINTAGE :)

Remember during the fall when I tried the silver OPI nail polish with a hot pink, well a few days ago I tried it with a cool blue, OPI as well. I really liked how it turned out. Also I'm a slave for advertising within blogs so I tried out the Garnier BB-Cream, but unfortuanatelly I feel it makes my skin darker than normal and I did take the lightest shade they had which did seem good in the store. I'm really pale and I rather be pale but the cream makes my face look well kinda redish, or maybe I need to try it out once more. Bubble rap, no need to say more. 

Istuskelen tässä jonkin näköisessä tilasto analyysi tunnilla, keskityn kyllä luentoon, mutta opettaja tällä hetkellä vaan kertoo kurssin sisällöstä. Nyt on pari päivää menny siinä että olen yrittänyt tehä uutta kivaa keväistä otsikkoa blogille, mutta sitten aina löytyy jotain tärkeämpää mitä pitäs tehä esim opinnäytetyö. Toivottavasti huomenna saisin sen valmiiksi ja tänne blogiin asti. Haluan blogille samanlaisen keväisen olon kuin mikä mulla on, olispa jo kesä! Kaivoin jo esiin mun siskon vanhat aurinkolasit, ne on varmaan muakin vanhemmat eli 80 luvulta. VINTAGE! :)

Joskus syksyllä kokeilin OPIn hopeista kynsilakkaa pinkin kanssa, niin nyt kokeilin viileän sinisen kanssa, ja se onnistui aika hyvin. Mä myös alistuin blogi mainonnalle ja kokeilin Garnierin BB-Creamiä, mutta valitettavasti se tuntuu tekevän mun ihosta liian tumman. Otin kaikista vaaleimman sävyn joka kaupassa jopa näytti ihan hyvältä iholla. Se saa mun ihon tuntumaan jotenkin punertavalta tai sit vaan kuvittelen asioita, no kokeilen sitä vielä joku päivä uudestaan. Mä vaan tykkään olla kalpea, kun mä en rusketu vaan palan ni parempi hyväksyä asia ku polttaa iho. Nii ei kai tarvi sanoa mitään muuta ku kuplamuovi!

Homemade French Manicure

So I tried out for the first time, how to make a homemade french manicure. The first time I had a french manicure was when I had my high school graduation and even then the person that made it for me used a bit of a purple coloring on it so it wasn't a basic french manicure. I tried out a sparkling nail polish I got as a gift during christmas and a basic white nail polish for the tips. This is what it looks like, its a bit odd since some of my nails are longer than others. I just don't want to cut my long ones. I started off with a chip skip(OPI) liquid to harden the tips of my nails natural base coat from OPI (my addiction), then I applied to blue sparkling color that also is OPI just a line that we don't have in Finland. Then the tips with the white color, which was a really thick one and to finish it off a top coat. Simple as that.

Pretty in Pink

So I am known for hating pink, though I had pink highlights and often like to have pink nails. Its actually more of a hate towards very light pink and so on. I do have a liking towards cold pinks and purples. So here is an example of pink nails that I find nice, though the flash kinda takes away from the color.

Terrific Nails

Yep, so today was my first attempt to do some proper Halloween inspired nails. I finally busted out my new set of OPI nail polishes and tadaa see what I can do. Well yeah its a bit lame but it's a first try and hey it's personal. Not everyone can have these nails. OOOH how I miss my long long nails, now only one remains of all of them being that long. I did have long was for quite a long time at one point, dunno how I did it but I miss them so.
