Heritage 1881

Sooooo finally got these pictures out. The places is Heritage 1881, yet ironically the area was built around 1884 but as the number four is unlucky therefore they chose another number :) Anyways its a pretty cool place to see during the evening time with all the lights. We even saw several photographers taking pictures of models in fancy dresses.

So it is a shopping center of sorts with an hotel. My friend was nice enough to mention this place and show us around. I don't think we would have realized this even excited without her, and it was so close the where we were staying.

The hotel reminds me of these old movies I've seen about colonial British places. Very cool, also some pictures of my first visit to Forever 21!! I just love that store and spent several hours there, haha though I didn't get that much from there as I had planned. Gosh both of the things I got have been worn so many times already, there were instant favorites. Alrighty me and my headache are gonna head to sleep now. I hate being sick, hope I feel better tomorrow. Have a good night!

All Work And No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy

Woooah, its been a long time since my last post! Sorry guys, working has been such a hassle and seems now that I have time is when I'm sick. I've got some pictures from the few summer days I got to enjoy here in Finland. I'm a bit late with them but I'm gonna try to keep up better now. 

I've really started to wonder how people have time to do anything when they work full time. Say you work a normal 9 to 5 job, meaning 8 hours a day. How do people still have time to cook, eat, hang out with loved ones and sleep?? I even know some people that drive several hours back and forth between home and work, leaving them only a couple of hours, how do they do it?? I guess I'm just not used to this rhythm of life, especially since I love sleeping in and staying up late. 

Maybe once you have a job that you love love doing, or if you work for yourself then maybe time management will be easier. I just can't seem to get anything done after work, though I just might not be used to it and well I felt sick the first week of work and now on the second week I had to miss 2 days. I really hate missing well anything, work especially. I'm the kind of person that just simply doesn't know how to be sick. I can't stay still and I would sick or not go to dance class, which of course would make it worse. I just don't wanna miss a thing.

I'm also having some problems with work attire. I was thinking about sharing some of the outfits I come up with that I find to be appropriate for an office environment and so on. I found that I found very little information about this online, or at least in a style that I was comfortable with. Lets see what that turns out like, maybe its a disaster. 

Also I tried out this one greek restaurant in Lahti and it was nice, the atmosphere at least. The chicken salad was interesting and my small portion was huge! and a little dull as there was only salad, chicken and some pieces of bread. Well it did taste and look good. haha. Ok I'm gonna go to sleep now as my throat is killing me, literally. Have a great weekend guys!

The Feeling When You Realize Summer Is Gone

How I already miss summer, I’m not ready for fall just yet. I was looking at the pictures I took in May in Stockholm and how nice and warm it was then. Now it’s already freezing cold outside and seems I have to say goodbye to my summer clothes yet again. It feels like I didn’t even have enough time to enjoy summer. Well at least I like fall time, as long as it doesn’t rain too much. Indeed I am very late with these pictures but it’s better than never.  I should be sleeping now and I should have packed already, but oops I just had too much to do today though half of it was just watching pretty little liars. Hahah.. Enjoy the pictures and I’m gonna go to sleep now!

I don't know why, but I fell in love with the picture above on the left. Something about it, the tree in blossom the white wood windows open. I love old cities.

Why can't we have a Burger King in Finland?? I really miss their whoppers, without onions of course. Oh and on the boat I had my first macaroon, couldn't stop eating them!

The Missing Panda

Actually in this post you can see some things I got while in Hong Kong. Like the lovely brown bag, star shorts and scarf. I notice that if something has stars, I feel highly attracted to it. I used to complain that there was too few things with stars but now there are plenty to choose from. Somehow I even got my sister interested with stars as well. Too bad I have only a few pictures from the nice sunny summer days, Finnish summer is just so beautiful. I guess one of the reasons Finns love summer is that for a very long period of time we don't really see the sun and then in the short summer we can enjoy it 24 hours a day.

Hahaha, I'm so good at focusing the camera. Well maybe its better that I'm blurry anyway. Oh yeah how pale am I or what?? Below some of my birthday gifts from my family and panda. Stars there too and some cool blue or Tiffany blue :)

Jar of Berries

Finally I broke my lazy spell, I got up today at eight to go to see a doctor. Trying to figure some solution for my headaches.. After that saw my lovely friend, that I don't get to see that often as she lives in jolly good London. I should really visit her in London. Anyways I figured I should post some of the few summer related pictures I have. These pictures were taken last week when we got back to Finland. Finland's so-called heat wave felt cold to me, haha. I guess I didn't swim in Finland this year, oh well next summer then. The more I look at this picture of me the more I want to delete it. Gosh this text feels somewhat unrelated, my brain is still on a vacation.

One of the things I really love about summer is strawberries. I can’t imagine a summer without strawberries. I especially like to eat them with some milk and sugar, just like my mom taught me. Next best thing would be to have blueberries. I just guess I’m a sucker for berries, love them! Oh check out the cool rainbow we saw that week and how freaky the evening sky looked. I really do enjoy Finnish summer and all the different colors.

Zombies are Coming!

Oh yes, I have been lazy lately. Just been watching Zombie movies and Pretty Little Liars also been somewhat addicted to the game Pet Society LOL.  I really need to start cleaning and packing as way too soon I gotta move. Got a two postcards from Vietnam, how cool is that!!! Dunno why my mac looks so dirty in this picture.. Oh yeah I really really wanna find one of those shirts with the american flag, seems I kinda missed that trend with my no spending promise. I seemed to miss a lot of things I wanted to get. Maybe I don't really need them after all?

Pretty Little Olympic Distraction

Feeling really tired during these past few days so I'm just going to post this outfit thing I took way back in June. It's like they say, better late than never. As you can see from the outfit I really love black.. Its just a comfortable color, easy to combine with stuff and easy to make a fairly girly outfit seem less scary. I'm not that much of a girly girl, but there are things in my closet that scare me. I don't know what made me buy them but there they are, I should learn to use them. Haha. 

My mom was so sweet today, she got me some cleaning utilities for my new apartment. I know she's not excited about me moving out but still, she wants to make sure I've got everything. I can't wait for September, though we have to move already this month but we are gonna change our flat in September. I hope it won't be too much of a hassle. Alrighty, time to stand olympic basketball by watching Pretty Little Liars. Have a good night!
